Please have brush at the curb by end of day Sunday, June 4th.
For your convenience, the Village Public Works Department is scheduling the ANNUAL brush pick-up starting on the first Monday in June (June 5th, 2023). This process will take approximately 2 weeks to complete, and we will not be extending the pick-up, or picking up brush that is put out after Sunday, June 4th.
Limbs should be no more than 6 feet long and placed at the curb with the trunk facing the street. Your cooperation with this will greatly increase the efficiency at which we can pick up the brush.
Brush in containers WILL NOT be picked up. Yard waste and leaves are not included in the pick-up, and we encourage you to take these items to the Residential Yard Waste Facility.
Please be aware that raking leaves into the street is against Village Ordinance and the Village of Germantown WILL NOT pick up such leaves. We encourage you to take your leaves to the Residential Yard Waste Facility.
Buckthorn WILL be picked up!
In August 2022, the Public Works & Highway Committee and the Village Board approved replacing the Spring & Fall Brush Pickups with a single annual Brush Pickup in June to accommodate buckthorn collection when the plant is least likely to contain berries which spread the invasive plant throughout the Village.
